Get to know Alisa
I was most likely to get in trouble at school for socializing and connecting with others. My teachers would complain they saw the back of my head more often than my face. For some reason my teachers did not understand that I was supporting classroom culture and community.
My biggest life lesson came after my mother passed away. Her absence reminds me to draw meaning and strength from life's events or more specifically, examining life experiences for the ways my humanity can be enriched and nourished.
My proudest professional accomplishments involve the structures and learning experiences I have developed and facilitated for students, teachers, and administrators to create community with one another.
